The hunt for the most wanted man in America this week has finally ended. Christopher Donner a former Los Angeles police officer was killed in a cabin in the mountains above Los Angeles this morning. He was accused of the murder of one police officer and wounding two others, he also threatened the families of the officers.

They believed that Donner stole a car and they followed him to the cabin were a gunfight broke out, no one was killed. Later there was a second gun battle one officer was killed and another wounded but expected to live. The suspect never came out of the cabin, after the gunfight there was a single gunshot heard from inside the cabin and then it was engulfed in flames.

The loss of two police officers are never a good thing, they are even more hurtful now due to the fact of the gun control debate in Washington D.C. Even though he was an ex navy officer and a police officer and had the ability to get these types of weapons will not stop the government from saying that it is the gun makers fault and make it even harder on us to acquire weapons and ammunition of any caliber or type.

This connects with me very well, I am a very active shooter and hunter, my whole family gets together and shoots on the weekends. This gun control is making it very hard for us to be able to do these types of things because if we are able to buy ammo it is almost too expensive to just use to go out and shoot. My dad and I are teaching my mom and girlfriend to shoot and with ammo being so hard to come across we almost can not do this.

These recent shootings have been extremely hard for the families of the victims. It has also been very hard on us as a nation because they want to take our second amendment away from us or at least make it very difficult and a longer process on us obtaining fire arms. The gun doesn't kill people, people kill people.

One week ago a boy was kidnapped from his school bus , when Jimmy Dyke stormed the bus demanding two kids and when the driver didn't give him the kids he shot and killed him.

The five year old boys birthday is tomorrow, and his parents say that this is the most special one he has had. He was rescued after the police stormed the bunker and killed Dykes. The bunker was six to eight feet under ground and stocked with supplies. There is no telling how long he could have kept the child there before running out of supplies.

Being eighteen years old this really affected me. I couldn't imagine being five years old and being put through that kind of situation. Not only having to be put through it but having to live with it for the rest of my life. I also couldn't imagine what his parents went through. I know that when I am gone for a few days my parents worry about me even when they know where I am. With this child being gone for a whole week and the parents not even know what is going on I couldn't imagine what they were feeling.

These memories will stay with the child, family and the kids that were on the bus for the rest of their lives.  Anyone could connect with this because at some point in time they were five years old and could have been in this terrible situation.

With all of the gun control controversy going on now the last thing gun enthusiast need is another shooting. Former Navy Seal sniper Chris Kyle was killed by a twenty five year old marine while at a gun range. This along with all of the recent shootings have sparked the gun control issues we are experiencing today.

Chris Kyle was such a feared sniper that the insurgents had a bounty on his head, it was never collected. He served four tours and when he returned home he became a best selling author and a great mentor for veterans. While taking Eddie Roth a twenty five year old veteran who served in Iraq and Haiti, he and another man were gun downed by Roth.

I can really relate to this due to the fact that my great grandfather was a World War two veteran and he would always tell me stories about how his friends came back and went crazy.
Therefore I can really understand how it would be easier for a veteran than just a regular person to commit this act.

I can also relate to this because I am a gun owner and an avid hunter. These acts have really sparked the government to start cracking down on gun control and making it much harder for us to access firearms and ammunition. This has affected my whole family, most Sundays we go and shoot guns and it is a great way for our family to bond. With these recent shootings we have not been able to do this because ammunition is so hard to find and when you do find it it is priced outrageously.

These past few months have been extremely hard for alot of families that have experienced a loss of a loved one being shot with a firearm. The Sandy hook shooting and the murder of Chris Kyle I believe have been the two biggest ones. I believe that Americans need to stick together and help fight to keep our Second Amendment alive because if the good people don't have guns only the criminals will.
